CaribWorldNews, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. May 30, 2008: Jamaica`s top athletes, Usan Bolt and Asafa Powell are set to face-off with the U.S.` Tyson Gay in two meets that are gearing up to be sizzling hot.
Bolt will get first dibs at Gay tomorrow, when he goes head to head with the U.S. champ at the Reebok Grand Prix at the Icahn Stadium here in New York.
Powell is slated to face Gay at the London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace three weeks before the Olympics, on the weekend of July, 25-26. Powell, who has been fighting a pectoral muscle injury, says he is keen to silence his critics and doubters.
But as of now, all eyes will be on Bolt after the Jamaican recorded a time of 9.76 in Kingston on May 4th.
The Olympic 100-m final is on August 16th.
