Richard Guy, a structural engineer based in the Bronx, recently released his new book, “The Mysterious Receding Seas,` in which he posits that the earth is constantly expanding as a result of seismic activity and volcanic eruptions.

That expansion of the earth dictates that sea levels fall worldwide, says Guy.

In Guys` view, the ancient civilizations that existed in Mesopotamia, the Andes and in the Himalayas to name but a few all developed downhill as seas receded over time.

If his theory proves correct it will have monumental implications for the future. For example it will disprove the Isostatic Rebound Theory.
