CaribWorldNews, ST. JOHN`S, Antigua, Mon. Dec. 28, 2009: West Indies cricket has taken a battering this year to end just sort of a high note. But seems the West Indies Board is also suffering from technical difficulties.
The Board`s site at http://www.windiescricket.com/ has been down all weekend. As of last night the site continued to give visitors an error with no explanation posted to date.
The site collapse comes as the Board`s chief executive, Ernest Hilaire, criticised West Indies players union president, Dinanath Ramnarine, for his public criticism of the shortened regional first class season.
Hilaire insisted the Board took the decision to cut back on the number of matches in next year`s championship in an effort to manage its finances more responsibly.
The first class season bowls off on January 8 in Jamaica.
