CaribWorldNews, BALTIMORE, MD, Weds. July 1, 2009: With the D.C. carnival concluded to rave reviews, focus has now turned to the Baltimore Caribbean carnival.
The Caribbean American Carnival Association of Baltimore is gearing up to host the 28th annual Caribbean Carnival Festival at Druid Hill Park later this month.
The mas party kicks off on Friday, July 10 from 5-9 p.m., and will continue through Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12 from 12-9 p.m.
The parade kicks off on Saturday, July 11 at 12pm on the 5400 block of Park Heights (between Rogers and Hayward avenues). Mayor Sheila Dixon will serve as grand marshal. Additionally, participating special guests include the honorable Anthony Johnson, Ambassador of Jamaica, Delegate Shirley Nathan-Pulliam, City Council President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and other city and state officials.
General admission is $10 and free for children under the age of 12.
