CaribWorldNews, BELMOPAN, Belize, Weds. Feb. 6, 2008: Voters in Belize are set to go to the polls tomorrow to elect a new government.
The United Popular Party of Prime Minister Said W. Musa is seeking re-election. But there are four other parties in tomorrow's election. They are the Democratic United Party of Dean Barrow, the National Reform Party, the National Alliance of Belize and Vision Inspired in the People.
Commonwealth observers will be observing the election. The team is being lead by former Jamaican foreign minister, K.D. Knight. The top two parties, the ruling party and the Democratic United Party of Dean Barrow, have received negative responses in surveys leaving many wondering whether there could be a change in government as many Caribbean nations have seen recently. – CaribWorldNews.com
